Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
CanSo uses only the cookies it needs to work. The marketplace itself runs no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. An individual artist's page may turn on a Meta (Facebook) Pixel for their own analytics — and when it does, it loads only after you allow it.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are deleted when you close the tab (session cookies); others persist so the site can remember a choice next time (persistent cookies). We also use closely related browser storage, such as local storage, for the same purposes described here.
How we use them
We group the storage we use into two categories. Essentialitems are required for the platform to function — you can't sign in, check out, or stay logged in without them. Functionalitems remember a preference to improve your experience but aren't strictly required.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication | Keeps you signed in securely after you log in. | Essential | Session / 30 days |
| CSRF token | Protects sign-in and form submissions against cross-site request forgery. | Essential | Session |
| Cart | Remembers the items in your cart between page loads. | Essential | Persistent |
| Theme preference | Remembers your light or dark mode choice. | Functional | Persistent |
Third-party cookies
When you make a payment, Stripe may set its own cookies to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's cookie policy. We do not control them.
Artist analytics (Meta Pixel)
Artists can connect a Meta (Facebook) Pixel to their own page to measure visits and the reach of their posts. The Pixel is a third-party tracking technology that sets cookies and can link your visit to your Facebook account. Because of that, it is off until you consent: the first time you open an artist page that has one, a banner asks whether to allow it, and nothing loads from Facebook unless you choose “Allow.” If you decline, no Pixel script, cookies, or requests are sent. You can change your mind later by clearing this site's storage in your browser, which brings the banner back. The marketplace pages run no Pixel. Data the Pixel collects is governed by Meta's privacy policy.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because our own cookies are essential or functional, blocking them may sign you out, empty your cart, or reset your theme. We only show a consent banner on artist pages that have enabled the optional Meta Pixel described above — the marketplace itself uses no advertising or tracking cookies that would require one.
Changes and contact
We'll update this page if our use of cookies changes. For related detail, see our Privacy Policy, or reach us through the contact page.
